Works perfectly for practice and performance!I absolutely LOVE the feel of this shoe. Not having an arch is not a deterrent as it is necessary to bend to the natural shape of the foot with extreme ease and flexibility to point toes and move about.I normally wear an 8.5 shoe and found that it was just a smidge small. I feel like I could have broken them in, as they are real leather uppers, but I only use them once a week and didn’t want to wait for them to stretch a little. I returned the 8.5 and went with a 9 and it is PERFECT!!! May e in a few years they will be too big, but for right now they are so comfortable…… like a slipper on my feet.Even though this shoe was not the right fit for me, I gave it four stars because the quality of the shoe was excellent, very well made with soft leather, hugging arch underneath, and good soles for turning, as well as a nice inner lining. That said, I wear a size 7 to 7.5 street shoe size and I ordered these in a size 8. So many reviewers said they run small, and the recommended sizing said go with street shoe size to 1/2 size up. I received them in the mail and tried them on and they were way too long in the toe area, though fit nicely as far as width on my wide feet (I have high arches and wide feet at metatarsal that sharply taper/narrow to the heel). There was so much extra material in the toe that the soles did not line up correctly and if I had tried to dance in these I would have tripped all over the place. I would have exchanged these for a size 7 but the other issue I had was the heel came up too high on the back of my foot for comfort. It dug into the back of my leg. So even with the correct sizing I suspect this would be an issue as it is with many types of shoes for me. So reluctantly I returned them (which thankfully was a breeze as I had never returned anything before by mail). I am not giving up though and ordered the Bloch Pulse style jazz shoe in a smaller size but wide option. The heel looks different on that shoe and I am hoping it will be a better fit. Why oh why isn't there a dance store in my neck of the woods, with several ballet and dance companies up here! Ugh. Such a guessing game with shoe sizing.This product is true to size and fit.Love these. Do not go by the size chart which seems to recommend a half size up. In case it helps, size 9 is 24.5 cm long on the outside sole and size 9.5 is 25 cm long on the outside sole. My daughter wears a standard US size 9 street shoe (B width) and 9.5 gapped at the ankles and had too much space at the toes. Size 9 was great! Seller ships quickly!Ok. So we bought these as they were supposed to be the same brand as the shoes she already had. They are at least 2 sizes bigger. Fine she will grow into them. Well I had her try them on again today... 2 months after we bought them. They are both left feet. Grrrrrrr.
