I'll admit,I transgressed my self-imposed ordinance against presumption,and hesitated to buy this album,simply because of its TITLE "Dance With Me"which elicited thoughts of a cheesy,shallow,mainstream party-song,which caused me to get her"It's Over Now"album in its stead!! Then,I intended to get her debut self-titled"Debelah"album next,but I heard someone say"Dance With Me"contained the best displays of Debelahs vocal-range. And,was I IMPRESSED with the title-track"Dance With Me"which FAR from an insipid party-track,it contains a classic,50s' Tango melody which is rather entrancing as Debelah tailors her vocals to synchronize with the magnificent melody of this song!! "Remember"presents a nostalgic trip to the impetus of a romance,behind a beat which will elicit a smile of delight."What Would You Do"is a solemn,weighty song about how one would react if the result of their very actions brought about the end of the relationship. It's not a pretty picture when consequences come home to roost. The sheer desperation of the situation is displayed when Debelah says:"Last night,when you were FIGHTING me";I thought about,how good things USED to be." "Think Of You"shows how one can have such a positive impact on you,that the very THOUGHT of them can turn the tide of a"bad day"one might find themselves experiencing. "Bring Back The Sun"is a track which is apt to wrench a tear from your eye,as Debelah conveys the ULTIMATE in abject despair!! You can cut the emotional TRAUMA of this song with a knife!! "Alright"is an excellent song describing how things are sure to turn out when one grabs the hand which Christ is holding out to them!! Debelah seems BORN to sing Gospel with this uplifting,beautiful song!! "Fall In Love Again"paints a portrait of one who has endured enough emotional damage over time,to the point they've lost all hope in finding a sincere,stable romance,until they discover one who has restored their faith in love-matters. This son has an exceptional melody that will have you imagining a scenario of one"dropping their guard"and trusting in romance once more. I'm dancing in anticipation EVERY time I slide this disc into my disc-player!! I can't BELIEVE this album didn't make bigger waves on the music scene!! But anyone with mature musical taste will love this album,and find themselves impressed with Debelahs astonishing FIVE-octave vocal-range,and trademark inner-ear piercing Sky-high,nearly ultrasonic-pitch,which is known as a"whistle register"!!
