If you're looking for a shoe for your pauper/peasant/wench or any non noble costume for SCA/Ren Fair/LARP, this is a great starter or supplement shoe. Made of medium canvas, it well made and sturdy. I am normally an 8.5 wide so I ordered a 10 so that I can put in my own insoles as well as wear thicker socks with it. It's super comfortable and flexible. Ordering up is definitely the way to go for customizing it for comfort. I also sprayed it with a shoe waterproofer to help with repelling light moisture.
