Ordered 2 sizes up from street shoe size, based on the reviews, and it fits well, a little loose but it fits well since the elastics are sewn perfectly to keep the shoe on. Very comfortable and pretty. Time will tell regarding durability, but for the price, I am confident this is a very worthwhile purchase!Adding to this review, one month later... Great durability! They've been worn almost every day for a month and they still look new (other than dirty on the bottom, of course). I recommended them to a friend, who was very skeptical because they are not the typical big name brands. She did buy them and her daughter says they fit better than they other ballet shoes she's had!Review from an experienced dancer in high level class, so not a beginner, although shoe would work for a beginner as well! Most dancers in classes are wearing canvas split soled flats so we ordered here rather than the local dance shop for the huge discount! Following instructions and reviews we ordered up. She wears 8 and we ordered 10. They are perfect fit. They lay flat enough around toe area and don't look "gathered" like other brand we tried first. No drawstring, which was good for the right look and yet holds tight like it should. Color is a nudish pink rather than baby pink, which we were looking for as well. She is pleased with the shoe's performance and I'm pleased with the price!The only thing that would make them perfect is the fit. I usually wear size 5. So I ordered them in 5. However a 5.5 would fit better. I'm gonna keep them because I like the shape. The fabric feels a little bit stretchy so, I HOPE they will stretch more.Like other reviews mentioned, these shoes run very small. Ordered a 10N slipper for a women's 7.5N street shoe and it fit perfectly. Material/quality was better than expected for the price. The canvas has stretch to allow for a comfortable/snug fit.These are GORGEOUS shoes for the price. As far as fitting goes they are pretty close to street. I did find that they were a little on the snug size so I might go a half size larger. But the stretch fabric is amazing. The profile on these is gorgeous. The side of the shoe is short and so pretty when you point. The arch support is fabulously done. All and all I am extremely impressed with this shoe. The best thing about it? No ties!!! :-)I'm a 7 1/2 in street shoes and an 8 fit very well, a bit snug, but I prefer that to baggy! I'm very impressed with the quality as these were only $9!I purchased as a gift and was informed that these are much better quality than she had purchased previously through another online retailer.We have our daughter enrolled in ballet for the first time and needed to purchase certain things for her practice uniform. These fit perfectly, were exactly the same brand and type as what was being sold at the studio and were a bit cheaper as well. Our daughter is a little short so there is a bit of room to grow. Overall a good purchase.
