About the Actor Pallavi has been teaching the incredible Bollywood dance style to children, teenagers and women of all ages, shapes and sizes for about 10 years. Through her Bollywood dance school in the USA, she has championed this dance from India at numerous festivals, local news channels, and fitness periodicals. Pallavi is trained in several Indian classical dance forms like Kathak and Bharatnatyam. While she learned Kathak in India from an acclaimed Guru, she continued her Bharatnatyam studies when she moved to United States. After years of dedicated study, she graduated from the acclaimed school - Dances of India. Pallavi firmly believes that learning the mudras (handwork), adavus (footwork) and abhinaya (emoting) in classical dance have made her the dancer she is. These styles with their technique and discipline have laid a strong foundation for her Bollywood dance career. Although classical dance gave her the strong foundation, its the Bollywood style that is truly her passion. Through her LEARN TO BOLLYWOOD series, she hopes to provide quality Bollywood instruction to dance enthusiasts. Each LEARN TO BOLLYWOOD DVD provides an authentic, diverse & independent Bollywood choreography. Each DVD teaches you a choreography that can be studied on its own.
