Don't know about longevity yet, but love that it fits exactly as I needed it to. Daughter had size 4 jazz shoes from a while ago (brand unknown) that she burned a hole through with her big toes, so I figured it was time to get a new shoes. I know these kinds of jazz shoes do stretch as the feet grow, but I followed the sizing and actual shoe was just a tiny bit bigger than the measurement on the chart, so not a huge deal. I actually went by size number when I ordered. Daughter wears street shoes size 5/5.5, and I ordered 6. It's a tiny bit bigger than she needs it, but not super loose. Danceable and can grow into. Add a piece of thick moleskin behind the heel, and it's perfectly snug. I had bought another brand "Tent Adult" jazz shoe brand in size 6, and although the length was the same, the girth of the shoe (around the middle of the foot) of that other brand was too big, making it feel loose. This brand that we purchased here was perfect. Remember that these are adult sizes, so if you are going by the size number of a kid's feet, it will be different, especially starting around big kid size 4 or size 5...adult size 4 or size 5 is NOT the same as big kid size 4 or 5. Important to get remeasured for Adult size shoes, if you are getting these.
