The material of the shorts is very soft. I wear these shorts for my yoga practice. They are comfortable and don't constrict the movement.The reason I'm giving only four stars is the color. The picture seems to suggest that the shorts would be close to mustard yellow in color but the color is closer to canary yellow. Personally I don't mind the canary yellow but it can be a disappoinment for someone looking for the color shown in the picture.
