Each shoe has a 2.2mm thick OX suede sole and also features a metal shank embedded from the heel part of the shoe all the way down to the forefoot. I am a US size 9 (regular width) and based on the reviews, I ordered a half size down (8.5) and it fits perfectly. My next Salsa class is next week where I will really get to put it to the test. I ordered it with the heel as shown in the picture because I forgot to message the company to tell them to do the adjustments.I truly like this shoes, it beautiful in and out. I love dancing in them and they are very comfortable. I order any one form and vender, because I want to custom order the heel. I would get more in differennt colors from this vender if available..Buy a half size down. I got a 7.5 and I'm an 8. I fits nicely, but I think I would be good in an 8 too.Wide for me... think should fix it. Didn't dance in them yet. Let's c. Overall OK impressionI ordered these shoes to wear to a wedding. I love the shoes and they fit perfect. I haven't worn them yet, but you can't beat the price and they are gorgeous!I ordered basic on other reviews. I normally wear a 9 dress shoe and ordered an 8.5 in this shoe and it fit perfectly.The bottom part pealed off after wearing it 2 times. I am a dancer and take care of my shoes. I never wore them outside only on the dance floor. Not worth itI ordered on Saturday and my shoes are here today Monday. I was so excited and pleased at how fast they arrived.
