I absolutely love this book! The drawings are beautiful.. and sweet and portray exactly how the fox is thinking as he goes through the seasons. I have foxes who visit me every night and I can see first hand the little wheels in their head turning. They watch the birds, hang with the raccoons and decide just how much food to snack on and how much to carry home.So fox mating season is December thru January. They come in pairs. At Christmas time we have a laser projector that throws tiny lights all over the outside of the house. My foxes looove to "dance" in the beams. It must be like a disco ball for them! They actually stand on their hind legs with paws on each other’s shoulders, often making fox noises while dancing. It’s the cutest behavior I have ever been fortunate enough to witness.I know the author of this book did her homework. I highly recommend it! I intend to buy it for all my grandchildren! And all my friend’s grandchildren!
