They are to big for my foot and the straps are not attached don’t understand this,I’ll sew them because I need them, but I’ll have to get something elseI've been doing research on what ballet slippers to order for dayyyyys. And after reading countless reviews, I decided on these Bloch ballet slippers. Three or more reviewers said that they ordered slippers that were 2 1/2 sizes smaller than their street shoe size and that they fit well, so I did the same. These slippers literally JUST fit, so there is NO extra space at all. And I never buy wide shoes, but in addition to larger sized slippers (6 or 6 1/2), I'm wondering if I need wider slippers as well. I ordered a 5 1/2 M/B, and I am an 8 Regular. The slippers just come up around the sides of my foot so I don't know. Buying ballet slippers without having the chance to try them on is very stressful. Luckily I had two-day shipping so that these came really quickly, because I need these slippers for a technique class for school and I am going back to college in two weeks. I will be printing out a return label and ordering a different size ASAP.**UPDATE**: Returned the 5.5 B and got a 6 B. DEFINITELY feels better. But as I had suspected the sides still don't go up the sides of my foot enough that I would need the slipper to be wider. I had thought that I would need a wider slipper, but a C would probably be perfect and even though Amazon says "C/D" a reviewer says that she received a D, and D would definitely be too wide and I enjoy my two-day shipping. Therefore, the 6 B will have to do. I'll try to update again once I actually use these!Nice shoe and fit my daughter good. I just did not like that I had to sew in the straps as with other shoes I have purchased in the past I have never had to do that. But with that aside, they work well for her and are reasonably priced given she keeps growing out of them so fast.My daughter had to have tan ballet shoes for her recital. Went to the dance supply store and they tried a size 5 on her (according to her shoe size). They were a bit snug. Of course they didn't have the next size up (a 6) so they tried size 7 which were huge. So I found the size 6 on Amazon. While they for like I epxected I found the sizing to be weird. My 10 year old daughter wears like a 5 in kids, or anywhere from a 6-7 in ladies. Her Block jazz shoes are a 7.5 so it seems weird that she needed a 6 in the ballet shoes. But they fit great with a little room to grow.Wore these for my first adult ballet class. They fit a little big, but I'm hoping they will shrink just a bit after washing them. They are very "cute" and make me feel like a ballerina. I expected the elastic to be attached, but it was only attached in the back of the shoe. You will have to sew it to the front or bottom of the shoe yourself (I don't know wear it should be sewn, I did it in the front). All in all, I would buy them again. The insole is sticky, the adhesives used to mount it in were not done so cleanly, so I feel the sticky glue on the bottom of my feet when I wear them. Also; they were way to big and therefore uncomfortable/impossible to dance in because of their baggy nature at the heel.I absolutely love bloch so when I decided to start taking ballet classes again and saw these and the price of them I had to buy it. I'm generally a size 9 in street shoe so I ended up buying a 7.5 just in case they ran small. I should be bought a 7 they would've been perfect. From the 7.5 size after I tighten the elastics, they were comfortable and I could definitely dance in these with comfort. They also show off my arches nicely. I'm in the process of returning the 7.5 and am going to order a 7 afterwards. Would rate higher if I could get a real "feel" of the flatsI don't understand the reviews about the size. the description says two order two sizes down from your shoe size, just read it. I think these are great shoes. I feel very supported. my only issue, or really i guess just "surprise" was that the elastics had to be sewed on. I'm just getting back into ballet, so somehow I missed that part. not a big deal, maybe most people know that, it was just a surprise for me.I found the quality of these to be nice but I found the soles to be too small. As a result, the edges of the soles dug into the bottom of my feet when standing. I have a narrow foot with tapered toes and found there was extra fabric around the sides of my foot despite ordering the narrowest width. Length was fine for 9.5 street shoe.My girlfriend used these shoes to get back in to dance after a long time away - she says they're the same shoes she used when she was younger and she still loves them! They were a little bigger than expected because she was between sizes, but otherwise great.Fit well and performed well
