Ridiculous mis-sizing causes a major pain in neck for parents to get it right. Had to return 2 pairs before finding the correct fit, but worth the hassel, as my 6yr old Irish Dancer has minisule feet (still in size 9 toddler shoe!!!) & This is one of only 1 other brand that makes a black dance sneaker in her size. The other brand looked clunky, heavy, w/o arch flexibility, and like a grandpa's ortho shoe?. One shoe is a bit wider in the heel than the other and so there's a bit of slippage if she doesn't tie it super duper tight, but she loves them and they have excellent grip, offer great sound for practicing treble jig, & allow for the point... Unlike street sneakers did... so great for champ level practice. They're lightweight & streamlined/slender appearance is feminine, and looks great.
